Pocono Mountains Film Festival

My film was screened again and was received very well. People were amazed that I was able to a quality look with consumer camera that I have now retired. The audience was also taken aback by the amount of money it took to make the film, which i will not convey to you. But it was a nominal amount of money. I am moving on to HD cameras moving forward. The festival commenced with the award dinner, where New York Post celebrity writer Flo Anthony received the Daniel Pearl Muli Media Award and Michael Jackson's father Joe Jackson received the Lifetime Career Achievement Award, the late Michael Jackson received Humanitarian Award, and finally actress Jessica Biel received the New Emerging Artist Award ( accepted via a video feed from the A Team set in Vancouver, BC). My film was nominated for Best Feature but wasn't a winner. A great film Chasing The White Dragon took the prize. There was a very heart-felt tribute to Michael Jackson through his music as well as a moment of silence. Joe really enjoyed it. I was sitting not to far away from him so i was able to observe him. Everybody felt it. The night eneded with the after party and talking with filmmakers like Kieth Beauchamp who's documentary about Emmit Till has contributed to the civil rights causes and the re-opening of other civil rights cold cases about the distribution of films. Pocono Mountains Film Festival

I Just returned from the first screening of my feature WHY HIRE a KILLER? I was quite overwhelming seeing my film for the first time on the big screen. It (the film) plays well and was well received by the audience-especially the young kids in the audience. This was particularly interesting because the trailer for the film has a viewership with youth 13 to 17 years old. I thought that the film would find an audience with adults over 30 years old but I'm surprised all the time by the response. It was raining this afternoon so there was an mood for watching films. The audience would come out into the lobby between films to congregate and chat. Press was alive filming pieces for the evening news.
