A Night Of Urban Reality w/ Filmmaker Oscar Sanders




On January 13, 2010, New Filmmakers Winter 2010 series hosted A Night Of Urban Reality w/ Filmmaker Oscar Sanders at the Anthology Film Archives in New York's east village. A robust audience attended the the screening of Why Hire a Killer? the second feature film of writer/director Oscar Sanders. The psychological suspense film (75 minutes) told a story of hope, expectation, deception, and a mysterious illness through the lives of two people over a two year period. The evening opened with a two minute teaser of Oscar Sanders' current production RocOpera: Save America documentary. Prior to the teaser, a reception as held that was attended by the actors: Robert Hill, Edward Robinson; Naqaash-who did a voice over, and the films music producer/composer Jonathan Rivera, and singer/entertainer Rocopera. Filmmakers Davis Palmore (Mom's Bible Dad's Bottle) and Andrew Lilley. Not in attendance was Marisol Vidal due to her sudden death a few months after the production wrapped on Why Hire a Killer. She is sorely missed but never forgotten.
